Hobby Maker’s Joint Figure Exhibition!

What is the Hobby Maker’s Joint Figure Exhibition?

The event is a special industry-only exhibition run by Good Smile Company which allows dealers and the media to get a close look at upcoming releases from various manufacturers.

Unlike last year’s snow, this year was a nice sunny day which made the journey much more pleasant!

△ This time around we had loads of guests thanks to the lovely weather!

Nendoroid Tomoyo Kanzaki

If I could have any super power, I would pick teleportation! I would never have to ride the crowded train to work again! (if only…)

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at…

Nendoroid Tomoyo Kanzaki ☆

From the anime series ‘Inou Battle Within Everyday Life’ comes a Nendoroid of Tomoyo Kanzaki, the closet otaku who wields the ‘Closed Clock’ power – the power to control time! Tomoyo comes with three expressions including a smiling expression, a cute winking expression as well as a face that shows just how carried away she can get with her power!

She also comes with a huge selection of optional parts allowing you to recreate a number of scenes from the series! She also comes with a ‘Special Power Name Plate’! Fill your own life with supernatural battles!

Hyaahaaaaaaaaaaa!!!! (*´Д｀)=з

One of the few people who can keep up with Jurai’s wild discussions with her abundance of otaku knowledge – Nendoroid Tomoyo Kanzaki!!　♥︎

She has been sculpting wearing her Senkou High School uniform which looks adorable in Nendoroid size! Her star shaped hairpins as well as a waistline that really shows off her lovely curves have all been faithfully shrunk down!

This is how she looks from the back!

Her half tied-up hair also looks lovely! ☆

The dark to light gradient from the tips of her hair up has also been preserved on the Nendoroid! Along with the winking expression above, she also comes with…

A more composed, smiling expression! ♡

Tomoyo is always taking care of things on the Literature Club, and this expression shows she definitely has a good nature to her… 

However! There is another side that had to be included!

It wouldn’t be Tomoyo without including this expression!! (`・д´・ ；) 

Ooooooooooooohhhh!! (/ω＼)

I have not changed the pose at all from the previous photo… and yet suddenly she looks so very different! ♥︎

Plus another special part that woks perfectly with this expression…

“Be trapped in a pocket of time, wandering for all eternity!! “

A Power Name Plate!

When the powers were first introduced in the first episode they were shown with a name plate! I combined that with the pose from episode five to create a rather interesting situation!

The plate itself is a transparent sheet of plastic that can be attached to the Nendoroid stand using a special attachment piece that is included! (｡･ω･)ﾉﾞ

Tomoyo’s power if ‘Closed Clock’! The power to control time! ♡

The expression really shows just how much she can let loose sometimes!!

She is completely into it!!

I really love it when people can just let themselves go and enjoy themselves like this… another reason I love Jurai as well!

We also prepared this little bonus to show her using her power! (●´ω｀●)

The background sheet of the box is made in the image of the background when she clicks her fingers to start her power!

*The final product will allow this to be attached in the same way as the name plate. 

This allows you to really grab the second that Tomoyo starts using her power! っε=(｡・д・｡)

Keep the beautiful girl with an amazing power by your side! ♪

After the live broadcast that went on until 5AM I got home and slept like a rock… in fact I slept too long which just made me end up feeling more tired…

I can’t believe that WonFes has ended!!! Σ(･ω･ﾉ)ﾉ！

In order to show everyone the event… and for me to remember half the things that happened… Today I’ll be taking a look at some photos from the event!

*Some photos are from the set up day! 

△ Nendoroid Sakura Miku:  Bloomed in Japan, the first Nendoroid to be made in Japan is currently in production at our new Lucky Factory!

△ Sakura Miku was displayed in the Tottori corner which was designed to look like the actual warehouse in Tottori!

△ The inside of the factory was also mapped out in miniature form!

△ The injection moulding machine demonstration!
△ A panel showing the painting process of Sakura Miku with actual samples as they moved through the process!
△The Red Bull Air Race corner had both an actual aeroplane and the famous Red Bull Car! (Thanks to the Red Bull they provided I was able to get through the long broadcast!)
△ Nendoroid Code and figFIX special displays!
Both lovely new series with more coming soon! ☆

△ Each character in the LoveLive! Corner was displayed separately!
All the μ’s girls are going to be made into figmas as well!! ♥︎

figma Saber: Dress ver.

 Only 4 days until WonFes?!

Hello everyone, Kahotan here! (@gsc_kahotan)

Whenever I see sleet I always think it looks rather tasty… but I am truly hoping that the weekend will be sunny!!

Many of you may have seen that my blog says ‘Only 4 days left until WonFes!’, but when I was checking the GSC page earlier today I noticed a banner that clearly said… only three days left!?

 

Huh…?!

There are only three days left?! (((( ;°Д°))))

 

(I guess it depends on how you count it!)

If you don’t include today, I guess it is just three days to go! Either way, there is not much time left until we’re at the event!!  (´□｀｡)！

Today I’ll be taking a look at the forth and final WonFes figure!

Which mean’s that today I’m obviously taking a look at…

“There is one last thing I need to say…”

From the popular anime Fate/stay night [Unlimited Blade Works] comes a figma of Saber wearing her dress without armor!
· Using the smooth yet posable joints of figma, you can act out a variety of different scenes.
· She comes with three expressions including a gallant face, a gentle smile and a bright smile filled with happiness.
· Optional parts include Excalibur and its scabbard Avalon, as well as the bamboo sword from the series.
· She also comes with alternate hair parts to display her hair blowing gently in the wind.
· An articulated figma stand is included, which allows various poses to be taken.

A gentle smile with her lovely blue and white dress! A much more relaxed version of Saber compared to her normal armored appearance!

The elegant dress combined with her angelic smile…

It’s hard to think of her as a servant in Holy Grail War when she looks like this…

This version also features her with her hair untied up, and the hair comes in both a standard version as well as a more dynamic one – as if being blown by a gentle breeze! I’m sure that wind has a lovely fresh scent to it as well! <○><○>

She also comes with a more confident expression!

The bamboo sword that appeared in the anime series ‘Fate/stay night [Unlimited Blade Works]’ is also included! I want to display her with a certain other character from the series as soon as possible!

Excalibur and its scabbard Avalon are also included!

Just 5 days left until WonFes!!

Today I’ll be taking a look at the third product that will be sold at the event! Here is the line-up once more!!

Today we’re back onto the Nendoroid team as we take a look at….

Nendoroid Battleship Re-Class!

The deadliest of enemies, lurking in the depths of the sea.

From the popular browser game ‘Kantai Collection -KanColle-‘ comes a figure of Battleship Re-Class! Her mischievous looking appearance has been transformed into Nendoroid size carefully, keeping all the details that fans have come to love! Along with the standard expression, she also comes with a smiling expression for cute poses you’d expect from a Nendoroid!

Re-Class also comes with parts that show off her power of the deadliest battleship on the seas, with both attack effect parts and a villainous expression to let everyone know how many other ships she has sent to the depths of the sea!

Kyahoooooooo!!!! (/ω＼)

The so-called ‘cheater’ Abyssal Ship that has been the bane of many an admiral!

Re-Class looks rather sinister even as a Nendoroid!

Don’t be fooled by her salute and cute smile! She’s not as friendly as you think!!

When you think about how much power Re-Class has, you can only come to the conclusion that the smile is not once of innocence! It can only be an evil smile!!  (°Д°；≡°Д°；)

Anyway, before we get onto the figure let’s take a look at the packaging! ♪

Displayed with Nendoroid I-401 scheduled to release next month!

The never ending barrage of attacks brings back painful memories…! ((( ;°Д°))))

But let’s forget those for now and get back onto the figure itself!

The blister pack is filled with effect and other large parts!

Let’s start off with a look at the expressions! (｀・ω・´)ゞ

① Standard Expression

That face is just shining with mischief!! The round eyes are glancing to the left as she shows off her white teeth in a very mischievous smile! (*ﾟｰﾟ*)

Plus as you may have noticed… the mouth on the face on the end of her tail(?) can be opened and closed! Open it up to get another nice set of lovely pearly whites to look at… oh, and a cannon!

Her hood and outfit are posed as if the wind is blowing against them creating a rather dynamic effect! It’s lovely to be able to almost see the ‘movement’ on a still figure.

② Smiling Expression

This expression makes it look as if she is planning something…

I think it’s best to just look at the cuteness of the expression and not think about what might be going on in the thoughts behind it… The moe fang just makes it all the more adorable!!  *nom* (●´ㅂ`●) *nom*

Also as you may have noticed, the blue effect parts on her eyes can be attached and removed! Simply pick the look you prefer!

Wait a second!! Is she riding her tail?! 

Re-Class comes with a special optional tail(?) part that allows her to sit on it! It is also flat on the bottom making a rather unique stand!

The head and body parts of the tail(?) are also connected by a Nendoroid joint, so you can change the angle to meet your posing needs! (‘-‘*)(,_,*)(‘-‘*)(,_,*)

Various other areas are also fitted with an axis for even more subtle little changes!

③ Tongue Pulling Expression

It’s so evil!! (´□｀｡)

The pointed tongue and condescending eyes!

Re-Class is completely and utterly mocking the KanMusu and their admiral!! If you’re wondering why this expression was added… it was added because the figure’s planner, Kyojin, thought it would look good on her! Together of course with the mysteriously crossed arms!!

I want to take photos of her with some other KanMusu!!

But moving on, let’s take a look at her other optional parts! (｡･ω･)ﾉﾞ 

Re-class has loads of combat phases in the game… aerial combat, torpedo attacks, shelling attacks… she is a complete cheater very difficult opponent, and she comes with all the combat effect parts to show that power!! I’m sure many great Admirals will cringe in fear at the sight of all these attack parts! (°д°；)

Hmm…?

Something is underwater too!

Let’s take a look underneath…

A special base with torpedoes underneath is also included!!

That means you get two fairly large rather unique Nendoroid bases with one Nendoroid!

Filled with great expressions and tonnes of fun parts! Keep the Abyssal Terror of the seas by your side in her cutest form ever!

Pure and innocent, the new snow songstress is joining the figma series!

Snow Miku has reached its 6th anniversary this year, and once again the design from piapro voted as the best on the NicoNico Live Broadcast has been transformed into a figma! The theme this year was ‘Plant Life in Winter’, and the winning design was this fairy-like design by Taran! Rabbit Yukine is also included based on the adorable design by Hayuki!
· Three expression parts are included: a standard face a winking face and a bright smiling face.
· Optional parts made to suit the theme are also included, such as a leaf umbrella and lily of the valley shaped bells.
· An alternate body for Rabbit Yukine is also included for more posing options.
· An articulated figma stand is included, which allows various poses to be taken.

Even the package is overflowing with cuteness!! 

The new Miku based on the theme of plant-life and Winter in Hokkaido has become a figma and landed on my desk for review!! 

Her expression is so cute that it’s unfair!

The gentle, soft feeling of Taran’s illustration comes across so nicely! ♪

I’m so glad to see that Max Factory decided to make another Snow Miku into a figma! The one released in 2014 was so cute! A big thank you to Max Factory!!

Let’s take a look at what optional parts are included!

Just like Nendoroid Snow Miku: Snow Bell Ver. , she comes with a leaf umbrella! She comes with special hands to hold the umbrella up, making it easy to attach even for someone as clumsy as me! (*ﾟｰﾟ*)

She also has this winking expression which gives her a slightly more mature appearance!!

But the expression I like the most this time around just has to be this one…

Her smiling face!!

Oooooooooooooooooh!! (●´ω｀●)

Just looking at this innocent, adorable expression makes a smile crawl across my face as well! She just looks so happy!!

In her hands she is holding a Lily of the Valley bell, which has been painted with a lovely golden gradient! The little optional parts as well as her outfit are all painted absolutely amazingly!! (/ω＼)

As you can see…. Yukine is also included!! <○><○>

Rabbit Yukine comes with his very own flower lamp to hold! He is posed in a bit of a jumping pose too! ♥︎

He looks so soft and fluffy! This is actually the very first Rabbit Yukine to be included with a figma, and thus he comes with some extra little parts too…


／ Ta-da!! ＼

He comes with an alternate body to display him standing! Σ(･ω･ﾉ)ﾉ！

This makes him look much more gentlemanly – the perfect escort for Snow Miku!! ★

The ribbon designed to look like a lily of the valley leaf and the fluffy round tail are also faithfully recreated on the figma version! ♪

Snow Miku seems very pleased with how Rabbit Yukine has come out! ♪

Plus, just like the Nendoroid from yesterday, figma Snow Miku can also have her cape removed for a slightly different appearance!  (σ・∀・)σ

The edges of her outfit around her chest have been coloured beautifully with a golden strip! 

Speaking of parts that can be removed, the leaf of the umbrella can also be separated!

I can’t wait to take her out for some photos out in a forest or some other places outdoors! Bring her home with you an enjoy the last few weeks of Winter with a Winter fairy by your side! ♡

B-But that means that the final weekend before WonFes has already come to an end!! I need to change my way of thinking… it’s not that there are only 7 days left… there are over 100 hours left! Lots of time to prepare!!

With the weekend closing in on us, it’s time for me to take a closer look at the Winter Wonder Festival 2015 products that will be sold at the WONDERFUL HOBBY LIFE FOR YOU!! 21 Booth!

Nendoroid Snow Miku: Snow Bell Ver.!

A Winter fairy summoned by the ring of a bell.

Snow Miku has reached its 6th anniversary this year, and once again this year’s design from piapro was decided by fans on the NicoNico Live Broadcast, and has been transformed into a Nendoroid! The theme this year was ‘Plant Life in Winter’, and the winning design was this fairy-like design by Taran! Rabbit Yukine is also included based on the adorable design by Hayuki!

The lily of the valley held by Rabbit Yukine can also be switched out and held by Miku instead! Various other plant-themed optional parts are also included, such as a large leaf for her to use as an umbrella, as well as some lily of the valley bells in the shape of a treble clef. A special lily of the valley base is also included, which actually includes ringing bells! She also comes with sitting parts, allowing for even more posing options for fans to enjoy!

Yahooooooooooooi!!! (´□｀｡)

This year’s Snow Miku has come out looking absolutely adorable!!

The outfit design has been preserved perfectly in Nendoroid size, and she even comes with all sorts of items with the theme of plant life – from Lily of the Valley flowers to Japanese rowan leaves! The delicate and light design of this year’s Miku is suited to the Nendoroid design very nicely!! ♡

The snowflakes in her hair accessories and hair have also been beautifully preserved as always, and the headset made in the image of foliage is also looking lovely! (‘-‘*)(,_,*)(‘-‘*)(,_,*)

Herhair makes use of translucent parts to create a semi-transparent effect! 

Along with her standard smiling face, she also comes with this dazzling smile that could brighten up even the darkest of days! ♡

…!! (There are simply no words!!)

Taran-san designed this expression as well, and it is absolutely perfect for the little fairy Miku! It’s almost too cute to even be allowed!! ♥︎

That innocent smile could purify the most corrupt of things!!

In the photo above she is holding the Lily of the Valley bell made in the shape of a treble clef, but you can also swap it out for the Lily of the Bell lamp which is normally held by Rabbit Yukine!

Plus there is this expression showing off her top teeth!!

Another thing to note is that her twin tails and the flowers hair accessories are fitted with joints allowing you to match the movements to your pose! ♪

Rabbit Yukine is also included! ★

Yukine was first included with Snow Miku last year, but his popularity means he is back once again for 2015!

He has a winking expression which gives him a bit of a playful look! His cute outfit also makes him look very gentlemanly! (ﾟ∀ﾟ*)

The ribbon is made in the image of a Lily of the Valley leaf!

Plus his round bushy tail is very cute!!
(The hole in his head is for his very own little stand which is also included!) 

Before I go on with the optional parts…

Let’s first take a look at the packaging!

This time we have a rectangular box with gentle colors and a round window!!

The top is what makes it special!! ★

The box has a rather unique design, and opens up by twisting the two Lily of the Valley that are placed on the top!

It’s really very cute when you see it in person!!

The way it opens reminds me of opening candy which gets me even more excited! (●´ω｀●)ゞ

Anyway, let’s get back onto the review shall we! <○><○>

This is how the blister pack looks! Ignoring the biggest parts for now, you can see she comes with sitting parts, various expressions and a couple of hand parts… but the one thing that will grab anyone’s attention…
 
The Lily of the Valley Base!
 
A rather large base that Snow Miku can sit on rather comfortably! (/ω＼)

The very base of the leaf even has some melting snow to keep with the Winter theme! Even though it’s such a large base the attention to detail is still fantastic! ★

Plus the flowers have real bells inside them!! ♪

They make a lovely gentle ringing sound to match Miku perfectly!

The other rather large item included with her…

A leaf umbrella!! ★

With the giant left held above her head, Miku looks even more like a little fairy of the forest!

The very tip of the leaf has a drop of water… which is attached with a round joint, which means that you can change the angle that it’s falling at! (｡･ω･)ﾉﾞ

Plus as it is designed to be attached and removed, you don’t need to worry about it breaking! ♪

On that note, the little droplets at the end of her skirt are made from a soft material, so they are also very difficult to break accidentally!

Huh??

Something seems different?!

That’s right! You even have the option of removing her cape for a slightly different appearance!! ヽ(*・ω・)人(・ω・*)ノ

Without the cape you can see her lovely outfit all the way up to her neck!

As a side note… she comes with two cape parts – one standard one and one included to pose her with the leaf umbrella! (*´Д｀)=з

Simply pick the one that matches your posing better!

But there is still one more thing I need to show everyone!

The 2015 Snow Miku…

Comes with ball jointed arms!! (/ω＼)

That means that you can take more poses than ever before, and when the cape is removed you can really create all sorts of dynamic poses!★

The legs designed for the sitting pose can also be placed on the standard body to create some rather interesting poses! ♥︎
