Kagamine Rin & Len (Senbonzakura)

I have some twin friends, and I’m always surprised at how weirdly in-sync they can be! I was once with them when they said a really long sentence in complete sync without any preparation… it was amazing!

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at FREEing’s…

1/8th Scale…
Kagamine Rin & Len (Senbonzakura)!

From the popular song by Kurousa-P, ‘Senbonzakura’ comes a set featuring both Kagamine Rin and Kagamine Len in their unique outfits from the song! Rin-chan has a prim expression on her face, while the energetic Len-kun is posed in a lovely dynamic pose, ready to capture the hearts of fans around the world!

If you display them together with the previously released Hatsune Miku from the same Senbonzakura series, you can completely recreate Itto Maru’s original illustration in figure form – truly bring out the atmosphere of the song in your collection!

Wonderful outfits from the Taisho era!! ♥︎

These outfits come from the famous song ‘Senbonzakura’!

Just look at Rin’s lovely frills, knee-high socks and those shoes with little bells! Len has a school cap, cape and white gloves… it comes together so nicely!

It’s such a unique blend of new and old, Japan and Western styles!

This is how they look from the back! ♥︎

The outfits are carefully sculpted to match the movement in the twists of their bodies! While they’re both simple standing poses they have a very dynamic feel to them which really brings them to life! (*´∀｀*)

Let’s take a closer look at each of them in more detail! ♫

Starting with Kagamine Rin!

Rin-chan’s most noticeable characteristic are the frills all over her outfit – all along her long sleeves and even around her bonnet!

If you look close you’ll see that each and every frill has been sculpted separately which makes it look so very amazing!

I love seeing outfits sculpted to this level of detail! ヽ(ｏ´∀｀ｏ)ﾉ

Her rather short shirt is also blowing around her in the wind!

Other than the area between her shirt and socks she isn’t showing much skin… but that’s enough! My eyes head straight down to those lovely legs!

The back of her knees are beautiful, and just look at her lovely fingertips! ♡

Her sleeves also have a lovely butterfly print!

The eye-patch is a unique cross of a heart and the Japanese flag!!

It suits Rin and her style very nicely! ♡

Her listless expression is so… perfect! (/ω＼)

But anyway, moving on…

Let’s take a look at Kagamine Len!☆

In contrast to Rin-chan’s listless expression, Len-kun has a bright smile on his face!

Personally I really adore the white gloves too!! *nomnom* (๑´ㅂ`๑) *nomnom*

His hair is tied up in the back… also in a rather cheerful style!

From the back you can get a peek at his legs underneath the fluttering cape!

Of course you can see them from the front as well!

His high-laced boots look incredible! These two really have such intricate attention put into the sculpting of the smaller parts of their outfits!

Plus the cape can even be removed!! (σ・∀・)σ

Even just looking at the plain black cape alone I think it looks amazing! Look at all those twists, curls and creases! φ(．． )

The cape can be attached and removed with ease by disconnecting the head part and pulling it over the top!

Without the cape you get a rather different appearance to enjoy! ♡

The fan designs printed onto his sleeves look lovely! The cape definitely grabs your attention at first, but with it removed you can really appreciate the detail on the rest of his outfit as well! ε=(｡・д・｡)

Plus if you look from behind without the cape…!

Also note the way that the back of his knees have a more angular, bony look to them when compared to Rin-chan! They definitely have a more masculine look to them!

With the cape removed you can see the kanji on his back! It reads ‘弐’ or ‘two’! (｀・ω・´)

figma Goro Inogashira in Chinatown

Hello everyone, Kahotan here! (@gsc_kahotan)

I hate both dentists and hairdressers! I avoid them as much as possible… but today I was forced to make a visit to the dentist for reasons I’ll explain in a bit…

Today I’m going to be Chinatown with a figma that went on sale at the end of last month!

figma Goro Inogashira: Standard Helping ver. ★

From the manga ‘Kodoku no Gourmet’ comes a figma of Goro Inogashira!

· Using the smooth yet posable joints of figma, you can act out a variety of different scenes.
· A flexible plastic is used for important areas, allowing proportions to be kept without compromising posability.
· Three expressions including his standard face, a face to display him eating and a talking face are included.
· He comes with special hand parts holding chopsticks and a rice bowl.
· An alternate jacket with one side pushed aside to display him with one hand in his pocket is included.
· An articulated figma stand is included, which allows various poses to be taken.

Goro-san looks so natural out in the real world! ♡

Taking photos of him outdoors is actually really easy, and each photo can be made to look just like a panel in a manga without too much effort! Previously on the figma blog IG Sakai showed his love for the series by doing a similar real-life resturant photo shoot with Goro, but I decided I had to take him out on a Chinatown adventure myself! ヽ(*・ω・)人(・ω・*)ﾉ

Oooooooooooohhhh!! (´∀｀。)

I’ve never been very good at outdoor photography, but it feels so very natural to take photos of Goro in these surroundings! He is amazingly photogenic for a figure!

Unfortunately the weather was rather cloudy on the day I went out… but in a sense the cloudy weather suited the the atmosphere of ‘Kodoku no Gourmet’.

Walking around Chinatown there is of course more than enough Chinese dishes to choose from! So many in fact that Goro was quite uncertain at what he should eat!

“I guess I can eat some Nikuman as I walk…”

“I guess I could go fancy and grab some Peking duck too.”

“Man… I have no idea where I should eat…”

There really are so many different restaurants and stores in Chinatown!

It’s really hard to decide where and what to eat!

I hate being unable to decide on things!!

“Ah, shrimp chili… that could also be good…”

Oooh! That sounds like a great idea, Goro-san!! ♪

Me: “Right, lets head inside then…!”

*CRRRK*

…(・∇・ ) Hm?

Me: “What is this hard thing in my mouth…?”
* I was chewing gum at the time.

My tooth… it chipped?!

I had been neglecting my cavities for too long it seems!!

I couldn’t believe the terrible timing…. but there was no way I could eat shrimp chilli with a broken tooth, so…

“Goro-san, we’re going home! Without eating!”

“W-What?!”

…and thus Goro-san and I left Chinatown behind us, with gentle tears streaming down our faces… (´・ω・`)

That aside, I once again just have to say that Goro-san is so easy to take photos with! He blends in with backgrounds so nicely!

Just to get everyone the rest of the story…

I did really chip my tooth, and I went down to the dentist today!

The dentist told me around three times that I have really bad cavities… _:(´ཀ`」∠):_

Today he just gave me an anaesthetic injection as I grumbled and worried… but it wasn’t that bad in the end. Now the right side of my mouth is lovely and numb! I worry how this mat affect my Live Broadcast this evening…

Everyone… take care of your teeth and visit your dentist regularly!

Perhaps I’ll head back to Chinatown another time with Goro-san in the future… ♥︎

Mamma Mia! It’s Me! Nendoroid Mario!!

Hello everyone, Kahotan here! (@gsc_kahotan)

Over the weekend I really felt like playing some games yet I couldn’t find my charger anywhere… I’m going to buy one on the way home today!

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at…

Nendoroid Mario!

From ‘Super Mario’ comes a Nendoroid of Mario himself, following on from the previously released Nendoroid Luigi! He comes with both a smile and a serious expression, as well as various optional parts that bring out the world of Mario, such as some blocks, a coin and a Super Mushroom! ‘Brake’ parts for when he suddenly stops as well as dash parts for running are both included, and a background to display behind him is also included.

He also comes with two enemies to display with him – a Buzzy Beetle and a Boo, which allow for all sorts of fun scenes from the game to be recreated in Nendoroid size! Some crossed arm parts for use on Nendoroid Luigi are also included, allowing for a classic pose of the Mario Brothers together! Bring out the Super Mario World in your collection!

Ooooooooohhhh!!! (´д｀｡)

At long last the older of the world famous plumber brothers is joining the Nendoroids! ☆

His blue overalls, red shirt and ‘M’ initialled red hat have all been shrunk into Nendoroid size! Plus his round belly makes for a rather unique Nendoroid design – everything that makes Mario himself has been faithfully preserved to ensure that fans won’t be disappointed! Just like Nendoroid Luigi, his box also comes with a inner background sheet based on the Super Mario World!! ♪

He also comes with a huge variety of optional parts! (｀・ω・´)ノ

For example, he comes with a Super Mushroom, which can be displayed in his fans or just beside him! The red head with white spots might make it look a little unsafe to eat, but those cute little round eyes let everyone know he is safe to eat! This is of course the mushroom that changes Mario into Super Mario in the game! ♪

He also comes with a… Buzzy Beetle! ★

A shiny shell with eerie red glowing eyes…!

Somehow I think he looks cuter than normal in this Nendoroid form! ♥︎

You can pose him together with Mario in a pose like this!

Anyone who has played Mario before will recognise this scene! (´∀｀)

Just looking at it causes the BGM to get stuck in my head! ♪

Even the underside of the Buzzy Beetle has been sculpted in detail!

You can really feel the love when areas like this are made with such care! ♥︎

Next up we have…

The round, floating and rather annoying ghosty…

A Boo! ★

He might be annoying sometimes but you just can’t hate such a cute little creature! I think he’s one of my favorite characters in the Mario world!

The fact that they’re so shy might be what attracts me to them… ♥︎

Stopping and starting over and over again is something that happens a lot with Boos around, so he also comes with parts to show him quickly braking and changing directions! ♪

These have been aptly named ‘brake effect parts’! (｡･ω･)ﾉﾞ

Next up…

He comes with folded arms! ★

Not only that, but he comes with an additional pair of folded arms for Luigi to create the scene above too! ヽ(*・ω・)人(・ω・*)ノ

This of course means that you can create a pose that really shows off the link between the brothers! * Note that Nendoroid Luigi isn’t included in any way! Only the extra arm parts!

(・∀・) “He also comes with these parts!”

We’re joined by Mario’s planner, Kyojin!

…and a coin will come out!”

The game has jumped out into the figure world!! (´□｀｡)

(・∀・) “You actually need to move the block up, and place the coin on top, just like this!”

You could even make use of the Super Mushroom here too…! φ(．． )

By the way, I stuck the block parts onto the background for the sake of the photos today, but the actual product will come with parts to connect them on!

(・∀・) “That’s right! The parts are currently in development, but here is how the 3D data looks at present!”

Oooh! I see!!

The parts will connect into a Nendoroid stand! (‘-‘*)(,_,*)(‘-‘*)(,_,*)
I can see there is a place to add the background into as well! ♪

(・∀・) “Of course, making use of the optional parts from the previously released Nendoroid Luigi allows for even more fun poses!”

The pipe, Bullet Bill and Goomba were all included with Luigi! ♪

The Nendoroid stand included with Mario is the same green and rectangular stand included with Luigi, allowing for a number of parts to be displayed with him! (´∀｀。)

It really is a load of fun!! <○><○>

Nendoroid Lingyin Huang

Today I will be munching on Pocky all day! It’s 11/11! Pocky day!! (*･∀･)っ─━

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at…

Nendoroid Lingyin Huang!♪

From the popular anime series ‘IS -Infinite Stratos-‘ comes a Nendoroid of Lingyin Huang! She comes with three expressions including her standard grinning face, a winking face to recreate her signature pose from the opening theme as well as an embarrassed face that suits her character perfectly!

Optional parts include a sweet-and-sour pork lunch box, sitting parts and bent arm parts which allow you to display her enjoying lunch time! Both her ribbon and twin tails are fitted with joints, which combined with the included optional parts also lets you recreate the running pose from the ending theme too!

Oooooooohhhh!!! (´∀｀。)

The second childhood friend: Rin-chan!! ♥︎

A cute wink, twin-tails and that moe fang… everything cute about Rin-chan has been put together in a cute little Nendoroid package! (´□｀｡)

The large yellow ribbons tying up her hair are also beautifully sculpted!

The twin-tails are fitted with joints allowing for all sorts of poses! ♪

Which means you can pose her with the wind blowing through her hair as she runs along… just like in the ending theme! ヽ(*・ω・)人(・ω・*)ノ

I can hear the ending theme song playing through my head…!

By the way, Suzu-chan is the third Nendoroid from Infinite Stratos, following on from the previously released Nendoroid Houki Shinonono and Nendoroid Cecilia Alcott!! I wonder if this means we can expect the other girls as well…?

Anyway, let’s enjoy Suzu-chan for the moment! The expression she is using above is her grinning expression which looks great in all sorts of situations… including this one!

The slight red in her cheeks gives her a slightly embarrassed look that is so adorable! (/ω＼)♥︎

She also comes with a lovely little sweet-and-sour pork lunch box!
Look at the detail inside!!

The way the sauce is dripping from the piece she is holding makes it look so very delicious!

It reminds me of a certain confession scene from the series! (*ﾟｰﾟ*)

She also comes with sitting parts that let her sit down and enjoy lunch time! But she also comes with one more expression! <○><○>

Along with her winking expression and this grinning expression, she also has one more rather important charm to her! <○><○>

An embarrassed expression for when she just can’t be honest with herself!

Red cheeks and an upward gaze! ♡♡

She looks so unsure! I wish I could run up and give her a hug!! The way her mouth is slightly open is also rather adorable! ♪

The combination with these fidgeting hands makes for such a cute pose!

There is such a noticeable difference between this clumsy looking Rin-chan and the confident grinning Rin-chan… you can really experience both sides of her character with the Nendoroid! ♪

Plus if you combine the embarrassed expression with the sitting parts…

Ooooooooooohhh!! ♥︎

It’s like she’s about to tell you some little secret! ☆

I moved the legs on the sitting parts to both face the same way to change the cross-legged sitting pose into this slightly more girly posing! It’s always fun to see how you can play around with arms and legs for new poses! (｡･ω･)ﾉﾞ

Ren: Rhyme mode Ver. & Ren: “Together, Forever” Ver.

I have never been able to get along very well with animals. I do think I could get along with a canine ALL-MATE! In fact I’d love to get along with one!

With that said, today I’ll be taking a look at…

Ren: Rhyme mode Ver.!

“Stop overthinking it. You’ll short your brain out.”

From the PC game ‘DRAMAtical Murder’ comes a 1/7th scale figure of the main character’s partner, Ren! He has been sculpted in his human mode from the virtual game in the series ‘Rhyme’.

The cape that brings out the atmosphere of the Rhyme world has been carefully sculpted, but can also be removed for an alternate display showing off his shapely body for fans to enjoy. Grab the calm and collected Ren and display him by your side forever more!

Hyahoooooooo!!!! (*´Д｀)

The dependable Ren sitting looking as charming as ever!

His lovely large cape flowing around his human form! The sculptor of the figure is none other than Nanako-san, the same sculptor behind the previously released Aoba figure! ♡

As I’m sure you can tell simply by laying eyes on him for a second, the amount of love that has gone into the sculpt-work is simply amazing! ☆

Even the base is amazing with a giant beast-like hand, floating crystals and fluttering cape!

Everything surrounding Ren is beautifully made!

Plus just look at his amazing expression!

Depending on how you look at it, it can give off all sorts of different emotions… it’s mysterious, pondering… and perhaps even a little bit lonely!

You could just stare into his eyes forever… at least I know I could!!

This is how he compares in size with a Nendoroid! ♪

Based on this, he is around 1/3rd the height of a Nendoroid!

The figure is 1/7th scale, making it fairly large! (*´Д｀)=з

Taking a look from above gives this view…

You can really tell just how volume the cape gives the figure!

You can also see the detail in design of the cape, as well as the collar around his neck! ♪

If you take a look from the bottom…

You get a little peek at his arm and flank!

（´-`）.｡oO（Being teased like this is so effective…!)

HOWEVER!

You don’t have to remain being teased, as I’m sure you all know that Ren’s cape can be completely removed, showing off much more of his body for fans to enjoy! (・∀・)

Oooooooooooohhhhhhh!! (/ω＼)

W-What do I do?! I’m too embarrassed to continue!

Those arms! Those abs! Everything else!

The bumps of his collarbone and ribcage are also beautiful!

Each and every contour of his body is a treat!

I just want to run my fingers along his skin!! The tattoos on his back are also faithfully kept in place! The pointy hair sculpting is also something we only ever see much of on male figures… it looks awesome! (‘-‘*)(,_,*)(‘-‘*)(,_,*)

The area around his neck is also very appealing! Removing the cape doesn’t only give you a goof look at Ren though, the giant hand is also much more visible… and looks really impressive!

From the PC game ‘DRAMAtical Murder’ comes a 1/7th scale figure of the main character’s partner, Ren! He has been sculpted in human mode with his cape removed and a gentle smile on his face.All of the tattoos on his back have also been faithfully included, allowing fans to enjoy him from any angle they please!

The included base is made in the image of a sandy beach, ideal for the Ren route in the game. Be sure to add Ren to your collection and keep him by your side… together, forever.

Such a gentle smile!

Unlike the Rhyme mode Ver. this one does not have a cape, but the sculpting is just as wonderful as far as the body goes! The base is also a completely different, sandy beach base! ♪

The same beautiful tattoos, muscles and overall sexy body are all still there to enjoy to the fullest!

As the base isn’t quite as large, you actually get a better view of the area around his hips! ☆

The base has sand and some gentle waves! It looks so beautiful!!

The way the water is sparking gives it such a clear appearance, it makes me wish I was by the ocean paddling in some waves! It also reminds me on the Ren route in the game so very clearly… (‘-‘*)(,_,*)(‘-‘*)(,_,*)

Nendoroid Beatrice “Lily” Anastasi

Hello everyone, Kahotan here! (@gsc_kahotan)

I am fully prepared for the Winter already! I keep a scarf with me all the time for walking about outside! It’s really starting to get cold in the evenings now… be sure to keep warm and avoid any colds!

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at…

Nendoroid Beatrice “Lily” Anastasi!

From the multiplayer action game ‘FREEDOM WARS’ comes a Nendoroid of the gentle girl with blond hair and golden eyes, Beatrice “Lily” Anastasi! She has been sculpted in the “”Criminal”” outfit she wears when fighting by the main characters side in the game.She comes with both close ranged and long ranged weapons as well as one of the most characteristic weapons in the game – the ibara whip! Recreate all sorts of different scenes from the game!

Oooooooohhhh!! (´□｀｡)

From the popular PlayStation Vita game ‘FREEDOM WARS’ comes a Nendoroid of the key to revolution and destiny, Beatrice! A plastic board that can be attached between her hair parts to show her prison sentence is also included. The thorns climbing along her right leg are also faithfully included! (｡･ω･)ﾉﾞ

Let’s see how she looks from the back!

Her outfit has been sculpted down to the finest of details! ♪

Just take a look at how close everything is to the original design! Perhaps the most amazing of which is… this! <○><○>

Even as a Nendoroid her impressive bust does not cease to amaze!

Plus if you take a look at her hands you’ll notice her left has a ibara thorn whip, while the right has her close-range weapon! (σ・∀・)σ

Not to mention that the thorn whip can actually be extended outward! Σ(･ω･ﾉ)ﾉ　　

The thorn whip is made with translucent parts, and even features little spiky bumps all over it! Combine the whip with her serious expression like this and you get an epic pose from a volunteer scene! (ﾟ∀ﾟ*)ﾉ

The thorn whip comes with three middle section parts, so you can alter the length of it with more or less depending on your pose! If you connect all three it actually gets rather long!

Hang on a second… her skirt seems strangely different to before…?

(・∀・) “That’s right!”

We’re joined by the figure’s planner, Otanaka!

(・∀・) “Beatrice comes with two different skirt parts, the second of which makes her look more firmly planted in place for more tense battle scenes!”

Oooh! The hem section is placed much further outward!
This combined with the bent legs makes her look planted in place!! ♪

(・ ∀・) “Plus she also comes with a long ranged weapon, so you really have a huge number of possible battle scenes to recreate!”

(・∀・) “Her arms have a little extra articulation allowing for easier posing with the weapons as well!”

It’s always nice to have more poses when working on a character from an action game! (｡･ω･)ﾉﾞ

By the way, the standard and serious expressions looks great… but does she come with anything else?

(・∀・) “Beatrice’s smile is such a lovely gentle expression, we obviously had to include it as well!”

She’s so cute!! (*´Д｀)=з

Even under the harshest conditions I would be happy to keep going on with this smile by my side!!

animate Girls Festival 2014

Hello everyone, Kahotan here! (@gsc_kahotan)

Before I work on becoming more ladylike I’m determined to become more human-like. More specifically, I hope one day I’ll be able to keep things tidy and orderly in the morning, and that I’ll be able to talk to strangers without too many butterflies in my stomach…!

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at an event coming up this weekend!

For those of you who don’t know about animate Girls Festival (AGF), it’s a special event that focuses on anime, games and manga that are targeted at us girls! It’s also the 5th anniversary of the event this year!!

Q：What made you create this set of goods?

(・∀・) “AGF is an event for girls! So we wanted to provide something to fans that would bring out their ladylike side!”

(｡･ω･) “A collection of goodies that is both useful for everyday life, and had a cute side to it! We had all sorts of ideas, but as we were thinking them up during a lunch meeting, we all agreed that a little bag for holding lunch in would be great!”

(・д・｡) “Which is where the rest of the items got their theme from! Things you can use during lunch!”

Nendoroid Rin Hoshizora

Hello everyone, Kahotan here! (@gsc_kahotan)

Recently I’ve been having nothing but nice warm noodle dishes at meal time… nothing will ever beat a good noodle dish in the Winter! I could eat them everyday and never get sick of them!

Anyway, today I&m going to be taking a look at a Nendoroid who celebrated her birthday on the 1st of this month…

Nendoroid Rin Hoshizora!♪

From the popular anime series ‘LoveLive!’ comes a Nendoroid of the sports and ramen lover, Rin Hoshizora! She has been sculpted wearing her outfit used in the song ‘Bokura wa Ima no Naka de’ and comes with both a mischievous winking expression as well as a cute smiling kitty mouth!

Rin also comes with the maracas from the ending theme of the series, as well as various other parts that allow you to recreate all sorts of dance moves! Be sure to display her together with the previously announced and other upcoming members of μ’s! ♪

Ooooooooooh!!! (´Д｀。)

The 5th member of μ’s to join the Nendoroids is none other than the cheerful cat-loving 1st year, Rin-chan!! ♥︎

Her cute winking expression has captured my heart and will not let go!!

She also has a neck-tie around her neck, but its a bright green and yellow tie to match with her colorful personality! ♪

Each and every characters personality is included within the outfits that Kotori-chan made for them! ε=(｡・д・｡)

(・∀・) “I’ve done my best to bring out everyone’s charms just like Kotori-chan did!”

We’re joined again by the figure’s planner, Hamako!!

(・∀・) “I spend many nights unable to sleep while carefully trying to figure out how to bring out the individuality of each of the μ’s members as best as possible! I’m sure it’s just the same way that Kotori-chan feels when she’s making their outfits, which makes me feel all happy inside!”

I think I’d enjoy that feeling too! (´□｀｡)
What would you say are your best points about Rin-chan?

(・∀・) “First up, her expressions! The winking face has a lovely cute charm to it, and in addition she also comes with a kitty face! Nya~!”

S-She’s adorable!! (*´Д｀)=з

I can just hear her nya voice playing through my head!

(・∀・) “Of course she also comes with arm parts and a bent leg to even further recreate the kitty pose! It’s so cute!”

So many arm and leg parts allowing for all sorts of fun poses! (｡･ω･)ﾉﾞ

(・∀・) “The second point I’d like to point out are the optional parts included… these ones!“

(・∀・) “I’m sure they are! They are the maracas that featured in the ending theme of the anime series!”

I always thought she looked so cute shaking the maracas in the ending theme! An excellent choice of parts, Hamako!

Isn’t this the first character from μ’s to include extra parts like these? <○><○>

(・∀・) “That’s right! After pondering what I should add for awhile, I finally decided that this was one of the best things to include both for her character and for a musical series like LoveLive!”

They really bring out both her cute and playful side very nicely! (/ω＼)

Bringing out memories from the series is one of the best things about figures and this pose does that perfectly for me! ♪
