The most recent theme to come to the animate and Good Smile Company joint café is a special collaboration with Thunderbolt Fantasy!! You can find out more about the animate café over here: https://café.animate.co.jp/

Here is a quick summary of the info! ▼

This time around the café is open on a first-come, first-serve basis on weekdays, so you can simply come by without needing to reserve! (The GSC Offices are about 5 minutes away, and we actually had some other staff come in for lunch while I was there!)

Anyway, let’s head into my report!

Right at the entrance there is already something for the fans to enjoy! A wanted poster to put your own head in, in place of Lin Xuě Ya’s! But let’s move on to the main attraction…

(/・ω・)/ ORDER!

Orders are made using an order sheet! You can choose from up to 14 different meals, desserts and drinks! (*’▽’)

You’ll have to wait and see what I ordered! ♪

While I’m waiting for it to arrive though, let’s take a a look around the café!

The huge tapestries on the walls are amazing, but another thing to take note of is the table sheets! I went around to all the different tables and bothered everyone so I could get photos of all the different designs!

Unfortunately you can’t choose your seat! That is all down to your luck on what table is open on the day! ★

Anyway, let’s take a look at the food I ordered!

For each item you order from the menu you will also get one random coaster to take home! (For some reason I manged to get lots of the bad guys!)

While I’m here… I also think we need to introduce a Nendoroid that came with me!

Nendoroid Lin Xuě Yā! ♡

Displayed with the meal that is made in his image! They do seem to fit each other rather nicely! ★

I also decided to offer him some of the black curry!! (*ﾉωﾉ)

“Oh my… Cán Xiōng’s head…”! I can just imagine his voice!!

The Nendoroid will be up for preorder soon! This actually showed off two of his expressions rather nonchalantly! Look forward to other items that may be included when he goes up for preorder!

(/・ω・)/ “Game Time!~★” 

A quick and simple game where you select one color and then the staff pulls out one color. If the colors match then you get a free drink ticket! (ΦωΦ)

Anyway, there is still much more to look at around the café! The walls are lined with scenarios and storyboards from the series – all are free to photograph!

Take a look at the various documents and work that went into making the series!! Personally I loved the illustrations on this storyboard!

The illustrations used on the storyboard are different to the original character design illustrations but still rather different from the dolls as well! They have such a cute, unique appearance to them!! It’s quite fun to look along the storyboards remembering the various scenes from the show too! (*´▽｀*)

As this is also a GSC collaboration café, you can also find some Good Smile 15th Anniversary-related items while you are visiting! ♪

You can’t come to a collaboration café and leave empty handed! There are a selection of exclusive Thunderbolt Fantasy goods to get your hands on!
