As much as I love reviewing prototype figures, it’s a lot more exciting to know that a figure I am reviewing will be with all the readers shortly after my review!\u00a0 I’ll take a load of photos today to show you just how wonderfully the final version has come out!<\/p>\n

The 5th Bakemonogatari 1\/8th Scale Figure Series: <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Mayoi Hachikuji<\/a>!<\/span><\/p>\n

From the popular anime Bakemonogatari and following on from the first four figures (Hitagi Senjougahara<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>Nadeko Sengoku <\/span><\/a>, Suruga Kanbaru\u00a0<\/span><\/a> and Tsubasa Hanekawa<\/span><\/a>) comes this figure of Mayoi Hachikuji!<\/p>\n

Yep, it’s the first time we’ll be taking a look at the base for this figure!
\n<\/strong><\/span>I’m sure some people will take a guess as to how it’ll look – but we’ll take a closer look at it later!<\/p>\n

You can’t have a Mayoi-chan figure without her giant bird-shaped backpack! As you can see it really is big enough to hide almost all of Mayoi-chan behind it – and it’s rather heavy as well! :P<\/p>\n

\nShe has such an innocent look on her face, but in contrast she is untying the ribbon around her neck with her mouth! The gap between the cute and the sexy is absolutely wonderful!<\/p>\n

Hmm, no objections from me here. I’m personally a big fan of the line from her hips down to her thighs – it might be hidden underneath the skirt, but you can still get a good idea of how soft it is just from the way she is sculpted! Definitely a highlight of the figure for me!<\/p>\n

The map and shoe can be removed!<\/span><\/p>\n

Well… it’s not so much removing the map, as simply just placing it wherever you prefer. The shoe can be placed half way on like in the original illustration, or simply removed entirely. The map is supposed to be placed on her thighs, but it might be seen as covering up those wonderful thighs, so if you’d rather leave it off then you have that option! :P<\/p>\n

I’m very proud of this shot!<\/span><\/p>\n

But I guess it’s mostly due to the fact tat the figure is so wonderful, more than my photography skills! :P I hope that at least some of the people who look at it will like it as much as I did. I call it “The boundary line of a young girl”.<\/p>\n

It recreates the BD\/DVD package even more than before!
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

The figure is of course based on the 2nd volumes package illustration, and so the base was made to look like the background of the illustration! The shadow of Arararararagi-kun is also visible on the base!<\/p>\n

This is the 5th in a series of figures that have all had incredibly detailed bases, so some might be disappointed here – but remember she has the huge backpack, plus the price is considerably lower than the previous four figures.<\/p>\n

Although the pose does look a little bit odd without the backpack there. :P
\nI suppose that means that you can easily put something in it’s place, however!<\/p>\n

The backpack has the bumps to connect onto Mayoi, so the figure of Mayoi herself looks just fine without the backpack attached. I actually really like the way she looks from this angle! The curved hips and soft looking arm come out very nicely!<\/p>\n
