Company<\/a>!! Originally the blog was going to be done by the long time employee Uchitarou, but there was a sudden change of plans! <strong>I&#8217;ve been placed in the hotseat! <\/strong>A big thanks for the opportunity! I&#8217;ll do the best I can!<\/p>\n<p>Today we&#8217;ll be looking at one of Phat Company&#8217;s upcoming releases!<br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size:large;\"><strong>Desert Army-san!!<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<a href=\"\/en\/imgs\/f\/b\/fb303913.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/en\/imgs\/f\/b\/fb303913-s.jpg\" alt=\"001\" width=\"450\" height=\"309\" border=\"0\" hspace=\"5\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Army-san is from everyone&#8217;s favorite English-learning comic in which Sgt. Hartman teaches everyone some very useful slang &#8211; &#8216;Mahou no Kaiheitei Pixel Maritan&#8217;! Some of you might find her very familiar&#8230; because she was released as <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nendoroid.jp\/products\/nendo\/139_armysan.html\" target=\"_blank\">a Nendoroid last year<\/a>!<span style=\"color:#ff0000;\"><strong> This time she is back in her desert combat outfit! <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Do take note that the product you&#8217;re looking at today <strong>is still being worked on<\/strong>, so it might differ from the final product!<\/p>\n<p>The main difference from the previous Army-san is <strong>the camouflage pattern! <\/strong>The original woodland camouflage has become the brand new ACU camouflage &#8211; in other words the desert camouflage, perfect for a tactical advantage! Here you can see the new Desert Army-san compared to the previous Army-san!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/en\/imgs\/7\/5\/756cef2a.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/en\/imgs\/7\/5\/756cef2a-s.jpg\" alt=\"002\" width=\"450\" height=\"338\" border=\"0\" hspace=\"5\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Although it doesn&#8217;t make much sense to display both of them together&#8230; you can always just say they are twin sisters! :P<\/p>\n<p>Here is another shot from the back for you to compare the two!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/en\/imgs\/1\/8\/1899d615.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/en\/imgs\/1\/8\/1899d615-s.jpg\" alt=\"003\" width=\"450\" height=\"352\" border=\"0\" hspace=\"5\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Up till here it&#8217;s mainly just the difference in color, <span style=\"color:#ff0000;\"><strong>but there are of course also new parts with the new Army-san!<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>First up is a brand new expression: <span style=\"font-size:large;\"><strong>A determined face!<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<a href=\"\/en\/imgs\/d\/2\/d25a01fc.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/en\/imgs\/d\/2\/d25a01fc-s.jpg\" alt=\"004\" width=\"450\" height=\"380\" border=\"0\" hspace=\"5\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>A valiant expression that makes her look ready to take on anything that comes her way! You just need to give her a weapon of some sort and then it&#8217;s perfect!<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Next up is another new expression:<span style=\"font-size:large;\"><strong> A drooling face!<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<strong><a href=\"\/en\/imgs\/8\/2\/8263f503.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/en\/imgs\/8\/2\/8263f503-s.jpg\" alt=\"005\" width=\"450\" height=\"427\" border=\"0\" hspace=\"5\" \/><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Gyao! Time to eat!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>A perfect expression for Army-san &#8211; she is always hungry and eating the strangest things! She also comes with hand parts that suit the expression so nicely &#8211; it&#8217;s as if she is ready to grab something to eat!<strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Plus, as expected from Pixel Maritan, <strong>lots of weapons are also included!<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"font-size:medium;\"><span style=\"color:#ff0000;\">An M4 Rifle, M249 Machine Gun and M57 grenade!<\/span><\/span> <\/strong><br \/>\nAll of which are freshly sculpted for this figure!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/en\/imgs\/2\/9\/29cf60f1.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/en\/imgs\/2\/9\/29cf60f1-s.jpg\" alt=\"006\" width=\"450\" height=\"308\" border=\"0\" hspace=\"5\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Let&#8217;s take a look at the <strong><span style=\"font-size:medium;\">grenade<\/span><\/strong> first &#8211; she can hold it in her right hand!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/en\/imgs\/6\/9\/690da73b.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/en\/imgs\/6\/9\/690da73b-s.jpg\" alt=\"007\" width=\"450\" height=\"352\" border=\"0\" hspace=\"5\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Even though the grenade is made to Nendoroid size, <strong>it&#8217;s still very detailed! <\/strong>Once you&#8217;ve pulled the out the pin be sure to throw it somewhere there are no humans or Nendoroids! (Or rather, just don&#8217;t pull out the pin :P)<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve heard that in one of America&#8217;s rocket launcher instruction manuals there is some helpful advice that reads <strong>&#8216;Fire in direction of enemy.&#8217;<\/strong>, it makes me wonder if grenades would have the same information. ^^;<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"\/en\/imgs\/e\/e\/ee4bb085.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/en\/imgs\/e\/e\/ee4bb085-s.jpg\" alt=\"008\" width=\"450\" height=\"313\" border=\"0\" hspace=\"5\" \/><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Stop it! Don&#8217;t be mean to me! I&#8217;m you!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size:medium;\"><strong>The M4 Rifle and M249 Machine Gun<\/strong><\/span> are also just as wonderfully detailed as the grenade!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/en\/imgs\/5\/3\/53250e96.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/en\/imgs\/5\/3\/53250e96-s.jpg\" alt=\"009\" width=\"450\" height=\"352\" border=\"0\" hspace=\"5\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately, at the time of this blog, the M249 Machine Gun was <strong>away in production&#8230;<\/strong> but here is a picture of it from a little while back&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/en\/imgs\/d\/1\/d19bcd34.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/en\/imgs\/d\/1\/d19bcd34-s.jpg\" alt=\"010\" width=\"450\" height=\"282\" border=\"0\" hspace=\"5\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The M4 rifle comes with a <strong>AN\/PEQ15 and ACOG scope that can be attached to it! <\/strong>The ACOG scope makes the rifle seem a <strong>bit more like a sniper rifle!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The M249 machine gun also comes with two legs to help stabalize the gun when firing! I&#8217;m not surprised you see Magical Girls using weapons like these nowdays&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/en\/imgs\/3\/d\/3da2971b.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/en\/imgs\/3\/d\/3da2971b-s.jpg\" alt=\"011\" width=\"450\" height=\"301\" border=\"0\" hspace=\"5\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8220;Don&#8217;t worry, I&#8217;ve got your back!&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>And finally the biggest highlight of Desert Army-san!<strong><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size:large;\"><strong><span style=\"color:#ff0000;\">The M998 4&#215;4 Lightweight Humvee!<br \/>\n<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<a href=\"\/en\/imgs\/b\/3\/b35c510c.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/en\/imgs\/b\/3\/b35c510c-s.jpg\" alt=\"012\" width=\"450\" height=\"284\" border=\"0\" hspace=\"5\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The humvee is filled with gimmicks &#8211; a Nendoroid can really ride inside it and the wheels really do spin &#8211; it&#8217;s a true Nendoroid-sized vehicle!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/en\/imgs\/f\/4\/f4517539.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/en\/imgs\/f\/4\/f4517539-s.jpg\" alt=\"013\" width=\"450\" height=\"377\" border=\"0\" hspace=\"5\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s it for today&#8217;s review of\u00a0 <strong><span style=\"font-size:medium;\">Nendoroid Desert Army-san!<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You can preorder Desert Army-san over at <span style=\"color:#ff0000;\"><span style=\"font-size:medium;\"><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/hobbyjapan-shop.com\/shop\/shopdetail.html?brandcode=059014000006&amp;search=%BA%BD%C7%F9%A4%CE&amp;sort=\" target=\"_blank\">Toretate!
