The bust I made while in middle school was Harry Potter! Back then everyone was trying hard to decide on what to make and I was just obsessed with Daniel Radcliffe…<\/p>\n

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at…<\/p>\n

figma Venus de Milo<\/a>!\u2605<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

‘The Table Museum’ is a series of figma figures based on famous works of art that almost anyone would recognize! The second figma to join the series is the mysterious statue found on the Greek island of Milos – Venus de Milo. The masterfully sculpted statue is known for both its graceful appearance as well as the intrigue inspired by her mysteriously missing arms. It allows one to enjoy the intricate sculpting as well as consider the many mysteries of ancient Greece.
\n<\/b><\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0Using the smooth yet posable joints of figma, you can act out the classic Venus de Milo pose and various other action poses.
\n\u00b7\u00a0A flexible plastic is used for important areas, allowing proportions to be kept without compromising posability.
\n\u00b7\u00a0A special stand, chest and head part are included to recreate the classic pose.
\n\u00b7\u00a0Alternate parts such as her missing arm parts, an apple and various hand parts are also included for other poses.
\n\u00b7\u00a0An articulated figma stand is included, which allows various poses to be taken.<\/small><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

From the same ‘Table Museum’ series that allowed you to pose the Thinker in all sorts of fun and artistic poses comes a new addition – \u00a0figma Venus de Milo!<\/strong><\/p>\n

There were many times while I was taking photos of this figure that I forgot it was a figure! It really looks just like an actual sculpture, even though it’s a figma!<\/p>\n

FREEing was kind enough to let me borrow the painted prototype, so I decided to review it for everyone today!\u00a0(\u03c3\u30fb\u2200\u30fb)\u03c3\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Even though it is a well known sculpture, it’s amazing what changing the angle of the head or position of the camera can do to create a very fresh feeling!<\/p>\n

Even in figma size, the details of the original sculpture are faithfully preserved!<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

Most people only know the\u00a0Venus de Milo from the front, so seeing her from the back is actually a little strange! (Maybe that’s just me though!)<\/small><\/span><\/p>\n

What a lovely bare back!! (\uff1b \u30fb`\u0434\u30fb\u00b4)<\/span><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

The clothing wrapped around her hips also has a kind of ‘grabbable’ appearance to it that I don’t see very often on figma figures!<\/p>\n

Anyway, when one thinks of what makes the Venus de Milo so famous, the first thing that comes to mind is of course her mysteriously missing arms! This aspect has been faithfully included as you can tell!<\/p>\n

For those unaware, the original sculpture was thought to have originally made made with arms, but they were for some reason mysteriously removed… leaving everyone who looks at her to wonder how exactly her arms and hands had been sculpted! It’s quite fun to imagine what kind of poses she might have been in…<\/span><\/p>\n

But FREEing allows us to re-enact whatever we imagine!!<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

She comes with arm and hand parts!!<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

An alternate upper body part is also included which allows that arms to be attached!\u00a0(\uff61\uff65\u03c9\uff65)\uff89\uff9e<\/p>\n

One of the more popular theories of her pose was that she was holding an apple out on her hand, so special hand parts and an apple to create that pose are also included! Yay! \u266a<\/p>\n

Plus, as if the bonus upper body part wasn’t enough…\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Legs! The Cloth! They’re moving!!<\/span><\/p>\n

She actually comes with two different lower body parts as well! One is a non-moving stand\u00a0<\/strong>of her hips down to the legs which allows for the classic pose, and the other has\u00a0articulated legs and a flexible cloth<\/strong> allowing for poses as far as the imagination stretches!<\/p>\n

As you can see…<\/span><\/p>\n

There are an endless number of options to enjoy with her!!<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

Making poses with just the upper body is a lot of fun…
\nBut you can take it one step further…<\/span><\/p>\n

This is the figure that was announced on the same day as figma Venus de Milo!<\/p>\n

I’m sure many of you may have already purchased figma The Thinker<\/a><\/b>, but this version has a whole new charm! (\u25cf\u00b4\u03c9\uff40\u25cf)<\/span><\/p>\n

The difference in feel between the standard bronze version and plaster is rather noticeable, plus the coloring works \u00a0really well when displaying him with\u00a0figma Venus de Milo! I would definitely recommend adding this version to your collection as well!<\/p>\n

anyway, returning to\u00a0Venus de Milo… she has clearly become more than just a sculpture with all these optional parts! She is free from her single pose and has become a\u00a0free goddess!!\u00a0(\uff65\u03c9\uff65\uff89)\uff89\uff01<\/p>\n
