As everyone who was watching the live broadcast<\/a>\u00a0already knows, today I’ll be taking a look at the very first product to be shipped out from GSC’s new factory in Japan!<\/span><\/p>\n

Nendoroid Sakura Miku:

The very first of Good Smile Company’s Nendoroids to be ‘MADE IN JAPAN’ is a freshly designed version of Sakura Miku, with an adorable pink outfit filled with images of Spring and cherry blossoms! She is also the commemorative Nendoroid No.500!<\/p>\n

This time around Sakura Miku comes with three expressions including her standard face, a cute absent-minded expression and an expression with an open mouth that can be used as either a smiling face or for displaying her enjoying some Springtime treats!<\/p>\n

Along with her standard twintails, she also comes with an alternate set of braided twintails for a completely fresh appearance! Other optional parts include some hanami dango, amazake and a cup on a tray – various items for her to enjoy viewing the cherry blossoms together with you!<\/span><\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

<\/b><\/b><\/b><\/b><\/b><\/b>Ooooooooohhhh!!! \u30fd(\u00b4\u03c9\uff40*)\u30ce<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Not only is she the first GSC figure to be ‘Made in Japan’, she is also Nendoroid No.500!!!\u00a0<\/strong>♥\ufe0e A Nendoroid that needs to be commemorated for two different things at once!<\/p>\n

She is similar to the previously released Nendoroid Sakura Miku<\/a>,<\/b>\u00a0but the outfit has been redesigned and the joints have been changed into the Nendoroid 2.0 format, for an all new Miku with the same lovely colors!\u00a0Just looking at her makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside! (<\/strong>\/\u03c9\uff3c)<\/b><\/p>\n

The twin-tails are slightly translucent for a light, airy effect! \u266a<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The joints on the ends are also decorated with lovely cherry blossom accessories! Three on the front and one on the back! Her outfit itself is also covered in cherry blossom shapes! \u03c6(\uff0e\uff0e )<\/span><\/p>\n

(\u30fb\u2200\u30fb) “Let’s take a look at the optional parts!”<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

We’re joined by the figure’s planner, Hamako<\/strong><\/span>!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

(\u30fb\u2200\u30fb) “This time around, the sub-theme for Sakura Miku was ‘Japan’! The ornaments around her\u00a0dress were sculpted was actually modelled off a kimono braid!\u00a0There are also various optional parts<\/strong> to capture the taste of Japan!”<\/span><\/p>\n

“A tray, dango, amazake and\u00a0sake cup!”<\/span><\/b><\/span><\/h4>\n

<\/b>I really like the choice of including amazake<\/a>!
\n<\/b><\/span>I love amazake!! (\uff61\uff65\u03c9\uff65)\uff89\uff9e<\/p>\n

(\u30fb\u2200\u30fb) “These are of course the traditional things to eat and drink while looking at the cherry blossoms! Although most amazake doesn’t even much – if any –\u00a0alcohol, I can still just imagine Miku getting a little tipsy which looks so cute in my head! That image meant I had to include the amazake!”<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/b>I can see how it could be cute!!\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

(\u30fb\u2200\u30fb) “You don’t even need to imagine it any more, as this expression captures it nicely!”<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/b><\/b>So cute!!! +\uff9f\uff61*(*\u00b4\u2200\uff40*)*\uff61\uff9f+<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

(\u30fb\u2200\u30fb) “She has a bit of a cat-like smile, with her cheeks glowing a lovely warm pink!”<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Depending on how you look at it, this could also be used to show her enjoying the beautiful blossoms as well!<\/span><\/p>\n

(\u30fb\u2200\u30fb) “She also comes with an expression with an open mouth, which can be posed to display her enjoying the dango!”\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/b>The triangular shape to her mouth is so adorable!<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

I really love that super innocent look that this expression gives! ♥\ufe0e<\/p>\n

By the way! The bent leg that can be used for all sorts of posed has been made usable on both her left and right side this time around! It makes it easier to grab certain nuances with your poses! \u266a<\/p>\n

(\u30fb\u2200\u30fb) “Take a closer look here too! The fold-over skirt is actually overlapping at certain areas – to look a bit like petals!”<\/span><\/p>\n

Ah, I see what you mean!! The front part is definitely on top here!<\/p>\n

(\u30fb\u2200\u30fb) “This was actually made like this as I originally wanted a design to look a bit like a kimono! We tried all sorts of different things, but in the end this\u00a0petal-like dress was the result! I call it the wraparound kimono petal skirt!<\/strong>\u00a0I’m actually really happy with the way it came out!”<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Even though it’s a skirt it definitely have a slight Japanese air\u00a0to it! The way the ‘petals’ are overlapping also give the outfit a very soft looking appearance! The petals also give her a much more flowery looking appearance compared to the previous pleats! \u00a0\u00a0\u30fe(\u25cf\u00b4\u2200\uff40\u25cf)<\/p>\n

(\u30fb\u2200\u30fb) “There are certain things that match up with her older version like the cat-mouth look on an expression, but for the most part everything has been freshly made! It is after all a very special milestone in a number of ways… I wanted to make sure it felt fresh and special!! In fact, there is still one more very special part that\u00a0separates\u00a0her even more and gives Miku a very original appearance!\u00a0Braids!!<\/strong>“<\/span><\/p>\n

This… this is just… I’m speechless!!<\/span><\/p>\n

(\u30fb\u2200\u30fb) “I always thought that braids would look cute on Miku, but you never see them very often! I tried sketching a few ideas and thought this looked the cutest!”<\/span><\/p>\n

Braid Miku!! She’s so cute! Filled with Hamako’s love too!! (*\u00b4\u0414\uff40)♥\ufe0e\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Also… this is the same open mouth expression from before but with a blossom in front of the mouth! It gives it a rather different feeling!\u00a0<\/span>\u3063\u03b5=(\uff61\u30fb\u0434\u30fb\uff61)<\/span><\/p>\n

(\u30fb\u2200\u30fb) “She looks quite mature like this, doesn’t she! Even with the same expression, careful changes in poses can often create a very different experience – that’s particularly true with this Nendoroid!”<\/span><\/p>\n

By the way… this is the first GSC product to be ‘Made in Japan’, was there any specific reason behind that?<\/span><\/p>\n

(\u30fb\u2200\u30fb) “When the talks first came up, the chain of logic was quite simple… ‘Made in Japan’ = ‘Japan’ = ‘Cherry Blossoms’ = ‘Sakura Miku’<\/strong>! It didn’t take long for me to come to that conclusion!”<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Not to mention that she also gets the privilege of becoming the 500th Nendoroid!\u00a0<\/strong>\u30fd(*\u30fb\u03c9\u30fb)\u4eba(\u30fb\u03c9\u30fb*)\u30ce<\/p>\n

(\u30fb\u2200\u30fb) “The 300th Nendoroid was also Miku with Nendoroid Hatsune Miku 2.0<\/a>,<\/span><\/b>\u00a0but everything just linked too nicely together to not release this figure as the 500th Nendoroid! Miku deserves to be in the spotlight anyway!! We’ll be sure to bring you a wonderful Spring directly from Kurayoshi city in Tottori, Japan! Look forward to her!”<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
