Today I’m going to be taking a look at:<\/p>\n

Nendoroid I-401!\u00a0\u266a<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

From the popular browser game ‘Kantai Collection -KanColle-‘ comes a Nendoroid of the Toku Class Submarine I-401! Ready for departure!<\/p>\n

Optional parts include Aichi M6A Seiran attack planes as well as her torpedoes to display battle scenes! The hangar tubes at her sides can be opened and closed, and a half-damage body is also included! Some splashing water effect parts are also included to display her jumping around in the water – as she really enjoys a quick splash in the bath!<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span> <\/span><\/strong> <\/span><\/span><\/strong>Ooooooooh!!! (\u00b4\u2200\uff40)<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/strong> <\/span><\/span> <\/span>Delicious tanned skin and a school swimsuit!<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

With a no-sleeve sailor outfit over the top too!<\/strong><\/p>\n

The energetic submarine, Shioi-chan! ♥\ufe0e<\/strong><\/p>\n

Following on from Nendoroid Akagi, Kaga, Kitakami and Ooi comes the 5th Nendoroid based on illustrations by Shibafu! <\/strong><\/span>(\uff61\uff65\u03c9\uff65)\uff89\uff9e<\/strong><\/p>\n

Just like all the previous Nendoroids, the illustration looks wonderful in chibi Nendoroid size! Just look how cute she is!<\/p>\n

The submarine parts carried on her shoulder have also been carefully sculpted!<\/span><\/p>\n

The lovely orange collar of her sailor outfit too! (*\u00b4\u0414\uff40)=\u0437<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Optional parts include Aichi M6A Seiran attack planes!<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

They even of course include the floats needed for submarine-borne aircraft!<\/strong> Not to mention that you can even pose them preparing for launch on the\u00a0hangar tubes, like on the right side of Shioi-chan here!\u00a0(\u03c3\u30fb\u2200\u30fb)\u03c3<\/p>\n

The hatch to the hangar tube can also be opened and closed!<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The innocent smile on her face is so cute!! ♥\ufe0e<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Even though she has a more mature look to her when compared to the other submarines, it doesn’t mean that her personality can’t still be a little playful!<\/p>\n

The included firing parts for her torpedoes are included for some action scenes!<\/p>\n

Taking a closer look at her sailor outfit, you’ll realize it’s actually tied together at the sides… showing off a little bit more of her swimsuit! <\/strong><\/p>\n

Also take a close look at the string holding her submarine parts!<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/span> <\/span><\/span>(\u30fb\u2200\u30fb) “Yep! The string is actually made from leather!”<\/span><\/p>\n

We’re joined by the figure’s planner, Kyojin<\/span><\/strong><\/span>!<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

(\u30fb\u2200\u30fb) “By using a soft material, you really have complete control as to how high you want to pose it!”<\/span><\/p>\n

It’ll definitely will come in handy with poses! \u266a<\/p>\n

(\u30fb\u2200\u30fb) “Shioi has very unique parts\u00a0among\u00a0the\u00a0submarines, so I was really looking forward to making her into a Nendoroid! There are a lot of fun ways to enjoy her!”<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

By the way, does she come with any other effect parts? The KanMusu Nendoroids normally come with so many effects!<\/p>\n

Oooh! <\/strong>I almost forgot about the half-damage body! Let’s take a look!<\/p>\n

I started the blog off with a similar shot, but the combination of that sideways glare and the school swimsuit gets me every time! You can also see her name ‘I-401’ written on the swimsuit name tag!<\/p>\n

The way the shoulder strap is flopped over also looks delicious! <\/span><\/p>\n

(\u30fb\u2200\u30fb) “This side of Shioi was never visible in the illustration making it our original interpretation… but take a look at the skin visible through the bigger hole!<\/strong>“<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/strong>… it’s not tanned! (((\u309c\u0434\u309c;)))<\/span><\/p>\n

(\u30fb\u2200\u30fb) “We were told by Shibafu that Shioi’s upper body is fully tanned, but the lower parts are still pale! We made sure to keep that true with the Nendoroid!”<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

As you can see, you can also completely remove her submarine parts, but that does mean there is a hole in her back for the Nendoroid stand! (\uff40\u30fb\u03c9\u30fb\u00b4)\u309e<\/p>\n

(\u30fb\u2200\u30fb)” There are still many more KanMusu in the works! Perhaps a scale figure of the\u00a02nd of the Yamato-class battleships too?”<\/span><\/p>\n
