Hello everyone, Kahotan here! (@gsc_kahotan<\/a><\/span>)<\/span><\/p>\n

Recently I’ve really been in the mood to travel! I’ve only ever been to the Kyushu region once before, so I’m thinking that would be the best for me! I’d love to explore around there!<\/p>\n

The figure we’re looking at today was born in the city of Sasebo in Kyushu!<\/p>\n

Nendoroid Kitakami!!<\/span><\/p>\n

From the popular browser game ‘Kantai Collection -KanColle-‘ comes the fifth Nendoroid to join the series – the heavy torpedo cruiser, Kitakami! You can pose her with her lighter armaments, or instead in the heavy ‘Super Kitakami-sama’ mode!<\/p>\n

Alternate face parts include a smiling expression and a glaring expression, and she also comes with a bollard which she can stand upon, as well as a flower which she can water!<\/span>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

<\/span> <\/span> <\/span>Kitakami-sama!!!! \uff08*\u00b4\u25bd\uff40*\uff09<\/span><\/p>\n

We first showed off her unpainted prototype quite some time ago… <\/strong> but now she’s finally ready to go up for preorders now! \u2661<\/p>\n

Equipped with 20 type-93 oxygenated torpedoes on each side of her for a total of 40! She’s been shrunk into adorable Nendoroid form while still staying nice and faithful to the original character design! (\uff61\uff65\u03c9\uff65)\uff89\uff9e<\/p>\n

Let’s take a look at how she looks from the back! \u266a<\/strong><\/p>\n

Her long braided hair looks lovely! The connection point between Kitakami herself and the ship parts on her back are actually fitted with a double Nendoroid joint! I’m pretty sure that’s a first!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

This means you can change the vertical and horizontal positioning of the ship parts on her back to match whatever pose you need to! (o\u30fb\u03c9\u30fbo)<\/span><\/p>\n

But wait… the ship parts have changed!!!<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Kitakami-sama comes with alternate ship parts allowing you to transform her between Super Kitakami-sama and the light cruiser Kitakami-sama! <\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

Certain parts such as her long sleeves don’t change – so it’s not a complete transformation, but the alternate mast and torpedo tubes allow you to pose a slightly less super Kitakami-sama! \u266a<\/p>\n

(\u30fb\u2200\u30fb) “Speaking of the ship parts…” <\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

We’re joined by the figure’s planner, Kyojin<\/strong><\/span><\/span>!!<\/span><\/p>\n

(\u30fb\u2200\u30fb) “Take a look at the color of the parts…”<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Hmmm… a grey with a slightly bluish tint!<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

But hold on…. wasn’t it more of a yellow tint on the original illustration…? It seems rather different…? ((((\uff1b\uff9f\u0414\uff9f))))<\/p>\n

(\u30fb\u2200\u30fb) “Indeed! The colors are actually made to match closely with the actual Kitakami ship!”<\/p>\n

<\/strong>W-What?! <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

(\u30fb\u2200\u30fb) “The color varies depending on your armaments in the game, so we decided to base the color on the actual real life Kitakami ship built at the Sasebo Naval Arsenal!”<\/span><\/p>\n

I see!! Let’s carry on with the review with a look at some of the optional parts!<\/p>\n

First up we have… a flower?! (\uff9f\uff21\uff9f;)<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

(\u30fb\u2200\u30fb) “One of her armaments can become a watering can, and this gives her something to water!”<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Aww!! She’s so cute!! ♥ (*\u00b4\u0414`)<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The expressionless face above certainly suits her personality, but this smiling face is simply adorable! \u266a<\/p>\n

<\/strong>(\u30fb\u2200\u30fb) “Next up are some effect parts!”<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/strong>Oooohh!! <\/strong><\/span>( \uff9f\u0434\uff9f)<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/strong>Firing all the torpedoes off her arms and legs! A very impressive sight as you’d expect from Super Kitakami-sama! (\u00b4\u25a1\uff40\uff61)<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/strong>(\u30fb\u2200\u30fb) “You can pose her in serious combat scenes, or instead make use of this glaring expression for more comical scenes!” <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Aww!! She’s so cute!! ♥ (*\u00b4\u0414`) <\/span><\/strong>* #2<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The contrast between the powerful attack and this silly expression is priceless! It brings across the nonchalant side of Kitakami beautifully! \u2606<\/p>\n

(\u30fb\u2200\u30fb) “Plus! You can also display her standing on the bollard looking out to sea!” <\/span><\/p>\n

Oooh… I didn’t even know these were called bollards!!<\/strong> I had to look up what it meant when I first read the product description…(\uff1b\u00b4\u2200\uff40)<\/p>\n

She really looks so very lovely gazing out over the ocean! \u2661<\/p>\n

(\u30fb\u2200\u30fb) “Have you noticed anything different about her expression?”<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Hmm?
\nAh! She’s facing directly ahead!!<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The first few photos today all had a sideways glance! But that means that she comes with four different expressions?!\u30fd(*\u30fb\u03c9\u30fb)\u4eba(\u30fb\u03c9\u30fb*)\u30ce<\/p>\n

(\u30fb\u2200\u30fb) “It’s not a huge difference, but it definitely can help to have her facing forward for certain poses!”<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

I still absolutely adore her gentle smiling face! \uff08*\u00b4\u25bd\uff40*\uff09<\/span><\/p>\n

This is the third Nendoroid made based off characters illustrated by Shibafu, and they’ve all come out looking so nice! I’m also looking forward to an Ooicchi!<\/strong> Nendoroid soon! \u266a<\/p>\n

I believe we’ll be getting the normal Good Smile Online Bonus<\/strong> too? (\uff40\u30fb\u03c9\u30fb\u00b4)<\/p>\n

(\u30fb\u2200\u30fb) “Yep! Just like the previous KanColle Nendoroids she will come with a special sleeve and base if you preorder from the GSC Online Shop!”<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The sleeve hasn’t been finished yet, but we will get it up for everyone to see shortly! Nendoroid Kitakami’s base will also be an 8cm x 8cm base – slightly larger than most Nendoroids! The bonus base will also be this size as well as feature the wavy design of the previous characters in the series! ( -\uff89\uff6a-)<\/p>\n
