Whenever I buy a pack of twelve takoyaki from somewhere, more often than not I get asked ‘Would you like 2 sets of chopsticks?’. I’ve become very used to answering ‘Just one set is fine, thanks!’ (\uff1b\u00b4\u2200\uff40)<\/p>\n

Anyway, today I’m going to be taking a look at two of Phat! Company’s upcoming products:<\/p>\n

Medicchu Kancolle Akagi &
\nMedicchu Kancolle Haruna! \u2661<\/span><\/p>\n

From the popular game ‘Kantai Collection -KanColle-‘ comes two figures based on illustrations by Kengou Yagumo, here to join the brand new ‘Medicchu’ series of chibi figures!<\/p>\n

The Medicchu series is bigger than the Minicchu series, allowing for much more detail to be put into the ship and weapon parts! Akagi also comes with a bucket filled with her ‘Super Repairing Liquid’ as an optional part! Enjoy your favorite KanColle characters in cute 6.5cm size! * Each sold separately <\/strong><\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

More KanColle characters to join the Medicchu line up! Previously Tenryuu and Tatsuta were released as WonFes products, and now Akagi and Haruna are here to join them! Note that while Tenryuu and Tatsuta were sold as a set, these two will each be sold separately!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Anyways, let’s take a closer look at each of them, starting with Medicchu Akagi!<\/p>\n

Ooooh!!! \uff08*\u00b4\u25bd\uff40*\uff09<\/span><\/p>\n

The unique charm of Kengou Yagumo’s adorable illustration has been captured perfectly! Down to the smallest of details! \u2661<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Take note of the paintwork too! Even the slightest changes in color are separated! Akagi-san also comes with her bucket!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Just having it beside her it brings out her character more! \u03b5=(\uff61\u30fb\u0434\u30fb\uff61)<\/strong><\/p>\n

The bow is sculpted to look like it’s passing through her hair. I really have to say I’m impressed with the detail on the Medicchu series… it’s really outstanding!<\/p>\n

Even the smaller things like the arrows and compass are lovely! A work of art!<\/p>\n

(\u30fb\u2200\u30fb) “I’d love for everyone to see the amount of detail in person!<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Today we’re joined by Takamatsu-shi from Phat! Company’s planning team! <\/p>\n

(\u30fb\u2200\u30fb) “Medicchu are about 65mm in height… and all the charms of the KanColle girls have been squished into that size in as much detail as possible!”<\/span><\/p>\n

I remember thinking it when Tenryuu and Tatsuda came out too… but the amount of detail – particularly on the ‘ship’ parts is simply incredible!<\/p>\n

(\u30fb\u2200\u30fb) “Yep! We wanted to keep the feeling that they were ships with a heavy look on those ship parts, while still keeping their cute designs in place too!”<\/span><\/p>\n

Next up we have Medicchu Haruna! \u2606<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The third sister in the Kongo Battleship family! Her red and white outfit looks a bit like a Miko priestess! \u266a<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

You really didn’t hold back on this outfit either! <\/p>\n

(\u30fb\u2200\u30fb) “The hair on Haruna was also very carefully sculpted!”<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

You’re right! One of Haruna’s key characteristics is her long hair blowing out behind her… who ever though it would look so great in chibi size! (*\u00b4\u0414`)<\/p>\n

(\u30fb\u2200\u30fb) “Ah… but the large ship parts behind her are just as impressive!”<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Ooooohhh!! (\u00b0\u0414\u00b0\uff1b\u2261\u00b0\u0414\u00b0\uff1b)<\/strong><\/p>\n

(\u30fb\u2200\u30fb) “The contrast between her soft looking outfit and hair and this huge mechanical turret is simply magnificent!”<\/span><\/p>\n

They both capture the characters… as well as Yagumo-san’s illustrations so nicely! \uff08*\u00b4\u25bd\uff40*\uff09<\/p>\n

(\u30fb\u2200\u30fb) “I hope fans will enjoy adding the miniaturized Akagi and Haruna to their collections!”<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

By the way, Takamatsu-san… Yakumo-san’s illustrations include various other KanColle girls as well….<\/p>\n

(\u30fb\u2200\u30fb) “They do indeed! We’ve already announced Medicchu figures of Wo-chan, Naka and Zegamashi! If things go well we’ll be sure to move into more shortly too!” <\/span><\/p>\n

If I’m not mistaken Wo-chan’s prototype has already been revealed…?<\/p>\n

(\u30fb\u2200\u30fb) “Ha… that’s right!” <\/span><\/p>\n

Ah! She’s already been painted?! \u03a3(=\u00b0\u03c9\u00b0=;\u30ce)\u30ce<\/strong><\/p>\n

(\u30fb\u2200\u30fb) “I can’t show any more than this for now… but she is coming along nicely! I can say with confidence that fans can look forward to the upcoming Medicchu characters!<\/span><\/p>\n
