The weather over the weekend has really made the cherry blossoms bloom beautifully! I can hardly believe that it’s already April tomorrow… not that I’m complaining!<\/p>\n

Anyway let’s get onto the main story for today’s blog! A closer look at one of the figures that was on display at the Ooarai Spring Festival 2014 last weekend! \u30fd(\u30fb\u2200\u30fb)\uff89<\/p>\n

Ooooh!! Akagi-san!! \u2661 \uff08*\u00b4\u25bd\uff40*\uff09<\/span><\/p>\n

The figma aircraft carrier will ready for preorders soon! All the details aren’t quite ready to be revealed yet, but I convinced Max Factory to let me borrow it for a quick look on today’s blog!<\/p>\n

Her unique outfit is sculpted down to the finest of details! \u2665<\/p>\n

The paintwork on the deck of her ship is also super intricate! \u266a<\/strong><\/p>\n

The back of her hair is also fitted with a joint, allowing for easy movement of her quiver and other areas around the hair! The hair on the side of her face and the radar part are made from a soft plastic allowing for even more poses! \uff8d(\uff9f\u2200\uff9f*)\uff89<\/p>\n

But what really interests me are the optional parts!! <\/span>(\uff1b \uff65`\u03c9\uff65\u00b4)<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

… I’ll quickly take a look at some before Max Factory notices!! ( -\uff89\uff6a-)<\/p>\n

First up!<\/span><\/p>\n

Bauxite! \u2605<\/span><\/p>\n

It wouldn’t be Akagi without some Bauxite<\/span><\/p>\n

She even comes with a special hand part to hold it out in front of her!<\/p>\n

Second!<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

A huge serving of rice! \u2605<\/span><\/p>\n

This is what is known as an ‘Akagi-sized’ serving! She also comes with alternate hand parts with chopsticks allowing you to pose her eating… not to mention that she even comes with an eating expression to complete the pose! (\uffe3\uffe2\uffe3*)<\/p>\n

She looks so very content munching on her rice!<\/span><\/p>\n

Somehow looking at a cute girl enjoying her meal makes me feel all happy inside! (*\u00b4\u0414`)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Next up we have…<\/span><\/p>\n

to wait a little bit longer! As the other optional parts will be introduced on the figma blog in a few days! (\u30fb\u03c9\u30fb\u00b4\uff1b)<\/p>\n

Those of you who tuned in to the Kahotan Channel will know at least some of the other parts that are coming! But there is still a completely unrevealed expression…!<\/p>\n

She’s still an uncolored prototype at the moment, but I hear rumors that she’ll be painted around next week sometime. ((o(\u00b4\u2200\uff40)o))<\/p>\n

Her fluttering skirt is lovely!<\/p>\n

The rest of her outfit also looks very faithfully sculpted!<\/p>\n

I can’t wait to see the fully painted version!
