I must admit I’m still stuck in holiday mode a little… but that’s not going to stop me from bringing everyone some new Snow Miku information!! (\uff40\u30fb\u03c9\u30fb\u00b4)<\/p>\n

I’m sure from the title and first photo you already have an idea of what I’ll be showing today… the very first look at the special stand included with the upcoming Nendoroid Snow Miku: Magical Snow Ver!<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Spell Book Stand!!<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Oooh!!! It’s adorable!!! \uff08*\u00b4\u25bd\uff40*\uff09<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The product description for this Snow Miku says that she includes a ‘special spell book stand’<\/strong> and I’m sure many wondered what that would be – it really is just that, a stand that looks just like a mystical spell book! You can see that compared with the Nendoroid itself, the book is rather large too!<\/p>\n

It also appears to have such a lovely texture! It’s like a classic leather binding! If I ever entered a magic school this is exactly the kind of book I’d expect to find in their libraries! (\uff9f\uff21\uff9f;)<\/p>\n

But with all that said…
\nHow exactly is this book is a ‘stand’ for the Nendoroid?! (\u00b4\u30fb\u03c9\u30fb\uff40)<\/p>\n

Once again we are joined by Hamako from the planning team!<\/strong><\/p>\n

(\u30fb\u2200\u30fb) “This spell book can in fact open up like this!”<\/span><\/p>\n

Oooh! It opens!! \u03a3(\uff9f\u2200\uff9f\uff89)\uff89!!<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

(\u30fb\u2200\u30fb) “The book has a hole to attach a Nendo prop, just like a standard Nendoroid stand!”<\/span><\/p>\n

It’s like she is popping out from the book! So cute!! \u2661<\/strong><\/p>\n

It also gives the Nendoroid quite an impressive presence with the sheer size of the base! No wonder it’s called a ‘special’ stand!<\/p>\n

(\u30fb\u2200\u30fb) “But that’s not all! This stand has another secret!” <\/span><\/p>\n

W-What…?!<\/strong><\/p>\n

What do you mean by another secret…?<\/p>\n

(\u30fb\u2200\u30fb) “Yep! The book has a secret area which can be used to store things in!”<\/span><\/p>\n

From the outside it just looks like a magical tome, but it functions as both a Nendoroid stand and a storage container! You could even keep Snow Miku’s spare optional parts inside!” ♥<\/p>\n

(\u30fb\u2200\u30fb) “We actually struggled quite a bit to get this looking ‘book-like'”<\/span><\/p>\n

Oh yeah! Is the book actually made from leather?!<\/strong><\/p>\n

\n(\u30fb\u2200\u30fb) “Not quite. It’s actually made from paper that has undergone a special process to give it this unique leather-like appearance!”<\/span><\/p>\n

Paper! How can paper have such a realistic leathery look!
\nTechnology nowadays sure is amazing… (\uff1b\u00b4\u2200\uff40)<\/p>\n

(\u30fb\u2200\u30fb) “Well as I said, it wasn’t easy… we went though many, many tests in order to get the quality and texture right. The first sample that came from the factory looked like crocodile skin… it was more of a wallet than a book!”<\/span><\/p>\n

But through trial-and-error, it ended up as this ‘leather’ bound book! \u03b5=(\uff61\u30fb\u0434\u30fb\uff61)<\/p>\n

(\u30fb\u2200\u30fb) “Yep! We also made a few other small book-like adjustments, like adding thin lines on the side to show all the pages, and adjusting the inside area to better match the cover!<\/span><\/p>\n

Not to mention the shiny gold imprint on the cover!
\nIt makes it all the more magical!<\/p>\n

(\u30fb\u2200\u30fb) “When the final sample of the gold imprint came through, it looked just like a real spell book! I was so excited!”<\/span><\/p>\n

I can see just how much you enjoyed working on this special stand and I’m sure everyone will love it! It ensures that this year’s Snow Miku is just as impressive in size and extras as last year’s! ♥<\/p>\n
