The 2014 Snow Miku Outfit Design Contest!<\/span><\/p>\n

This year we were looking for both an outfit for Snow Miku with a ‘Magical Girl’ theme as well as a design for a pet to be included with her! We were a little bit worried that the split entries might cause less people to enter, but that wasn’t the case at all! We ended with with loads of wonderful entries for both the outfit design and pet!! \uff08*\u00b4\u2200\uff40*\uff09<\/span><\/p>\n

Today I’ll be showing the 9 products that made the final selections!!<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

You might be quite surprised to hear it, but that’s right!! We’ve selected a lot more than the standard four entries…<\/p>\n

We’ll have 9 different entries for both sections up for voting on tomorrow’s live broadcast! It’ll work like so:<\/strong><\/span>
\nOutfit & Staff: Vote with 9 Entries -> Vote with Top 3 Entries -> Winner!<\/strong><\/span>
\nPet: Vote with 9 Entries -> Winner! <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The voting will take place in real time on tomorrow’s live broadcast ‘Miku no Jikan (4th Period)!’ The winner of both the outfit and pet designs will be decided by the fans!<\/p>\n

\nA magical girl with a cape and wizard’s hat! I was a little worried at first to submit her as there’s nothing overly special about her, but simple is best!
\nI’m sure it’ll be fine…!

\n9) Swan Magical Girl Miku \/ <\/span>Kotoma<\/span><\/strong>
\nMy idea for the 2014 Snow Miku design contest. Based on the image of the white swans that fly over Hokkaido in the Winter, it also combines elements of snow and the clear night sky.

\n1) Snow Miku Pet ‘Dosanko’ Horse \/ <\/span>TOMhyG<\/span><\/strong>
\n2014 is the Chinese year of the horse, and when I think of animals from Hokkaido, I think of the horse native to Hokkaido, the ‘dosanko’ horse. That said, I designed my Miku pet around this horse, just giving it a snow-like white appearance with light blue highlights. He’ll gallop happily by Snow Miku’s side!

\n2) Pika \/ <\/span>Hanami<\/span><\/strong>
\nA design based on the rabbit-like ‘pika’ found in Hokkaido.

\n3) King Bear Snowman \/ <\/span>Souno<\/span><\/strong>
\nA mixture between a snowman and a polar bear!

\n4) Yukiusa-chan \/ <\/span>Yuzuta<\/span><\/strong>
\nThe big ears are his biggest charm, and have snowflake patterns on both sides. He is also super fluffy and has ribbons based on the same color as Miku’s hair accessories.

\n5) Sorbet Bear\u3000\/ <\/span>Mieau<\/span><\/strong>

\n6) Snowy Owl \/ <\/span>Nadame<\/span><\/strong>
\nBased on a snowy owl. Snowy owls are generally known to be found in the Arctic, but apparently can also be found in Hokkaido. He’s wearing glasses and a bow-tie for a more gentlemanly look.

\n7) Ezoyuki Rabbit \/ <\/span>nekosumi<\/span><\/strong>
\nThe design is based on the Ezoyuki Rabbit found in Hokkaido. The long ribbon is made to match up with Miku’s long twin-tails.

\n8)<\/span> Penguin \/ <\/span>caco<\/span><\/strong>
\nDesigned completely based off a penguin! In my mind, magical girls = ribbons, so I also added a ribbon!

\nA pet based on the clione that live in the Okhotsk Sea and Hokkaido!

These entries are all finalists!<\/span><\/p>\n

Nine different outfits and nine different pets!!<\/span><\/p>\n

One of these outfits and one of these pets will become the new 2014 Snow Miku design! Take a look at them all now, and be sure to add in your vote during the NicoNico live broadcast! \u30fd(\u309c\u2200\u309c)\u30ce<\/p>\n

I also want to add… don’t go around making mean comments about the final selection or illustrators!! Keep things positive and just vote for whichever you think deserves to win!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
